Antique Australian 15ct Yellow Gold Amethyst Heart Pendant/Brooch Circa 1910
Fabulous piece of antique Australian jewellery modelled as a carved Amethyst heart set to a Heart shaped motif frame, which can be worn both as a pendant and a brooch.
Dating to around the early decades of the 20th century circa 1910 and almost certainly Australian even the style of the ’15C’ stamp but sadly in this case no manufacturer stamp.
Crafted in lush 15ct yellow gold and centred with this gorgeous pale to medium hued Amethyst measuring approximately 13x11x7mm or estimated at 7.8ct.
Curvaceous and elegant the frame is exceptionally pretty and encrusted with tiny white half seed Pearls and a wide and large round bale will accommodate a good sized chain or a dog clip on your favourite muff chain.
To the verso is the original C clasp and pin so they versatile piece can also be worn as a brooch if desired.

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. One tiny shallow mark to Amethyst seen under loupe, eye clean and slight abrasions to pavilion facet (rear of gem). All claws secure and original. One tiny Pearl may be a replacement but good. Original C clasp and pin to verso, pin is probably gold filled for strength, but original. Very pretty piece.
