This enchanting antique Victorian ring, dating from around 1840 to 1860, is a beautiful example of early Victorian charm and craftsmanship.

Crafted from 15ct yellow gold (with part of the shank later replaced in 9ct gold), it features a delicate daisy-style cluster at its center.

Natural seed Pearls form the petals, encircling a tiny faceted Ruby or pink Spinel at the heart, creating a soft yet striking focal point. On either side of the central motif, three vibrant Turquoise cabochons add a splash of colour, their bright blue and blue-green tones contrasting perfectly with the creamy pearls and warm yellow gold.

At some point in its long history, the rear half shank was replaced—likely to resize the ring—and this has been done with care, ensuring the integrity of the piece while preserving its original beauty. The gem-set top plate remains in its original 15ct gold, adding to the ring’s story and character.

Full of Victorian sentiment and symbolism, this ring captures the era’s love of natural gems and floral motifs. With its harmonious blend of Pearls, Turquoise, and Ruby/Spinel, it’s a jewel that feels both romantic and timeless—an antique treasure to be worn and cherished today.

We suggest against resizing this one due to age and a previous re-shank sometime in history however a competent jeweller familiar with antique jewellery could resize this if necessary

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition.  As mentioned some time in history this ring has received a new shank, not a recent addition. Evidence of this can be seen on close examination, however this is strong and well done. The ‘face’ of the ring is stunning, all the Pearls, Turquoise and Ruby/Spinel are original, well set and secure, with no chips or damages.  This is an early ring and should not be worn for everyday wear. A stunning piece mid Victorian jewellery history.
