This superb double‑sided pendant by David Scott Walker of Sheffield is a striking example of traditional British craftsmanship with a confident, modern identity. Crafted in 9 carat yellow gold, it has a wonderful sense of substance and quality, with the look and feel of an antique jewel while being firmly rooted in the turn of the millennium.

Designed to be worn to either side, this pendant offers two beautifully contrasting looks in one exceptional piece. One face is set with a luminous oval mother‑of‑pearl panel, measuring approximately 3 cm × 2.2 cm. Its surface displays a soft, rolling orient with gentle flashes of colour that shift as the light moves, giving it a refined and quietly captivating presence. The verso  reveals a richly coloured blue‑green agate, smooth, glossy, and deeply saturated, with tones that bring to mind the ever‑changing colours of the sea. 

Each side feels complete in its own right, making this a wonderfully versatile jewel.

David Scott Walker is known for his trademark use of  bold, oversized hallmarks, and this pendant is a superb example of that distinctive signature. 
Set proudly around the gold perimeter are large, clearly struck marks including his DSW maker’s initials, 375 for 9 carat gold, the Sheffield assay office Tudor Rose, the Crown denoting gold, the date letter ‘a’ for the year 2000, and the special Millennium mark commemorating 1999–2000. 
Rather than being hidden away, these hallmarks form an integral and confident part of the design.

The pendant is completed with an ornate and beautifully engraved top piece and bale, adding an elegant, almost antique feel. 
It offers an impressive 5 cm drop from your favourite chain, and the generously sized bale allows it to be worn on a wide variety of chain styles and gauges, including dog clips.

Excellent preowned condition.  This is a beautifully crafted piece, heavy and very substantial. No abrasions, chips or issues to MOP or Agate, very securely set. Gold work is lovely, hallmarks are obviously crisp and clear!  Bale is large, strong and thick.  No issues to note! Exceptional!
