Antique Sterling Silver Chatelaine ‘Mirror’ By Crisford & Norris Ltd - Birmingham 1913
A charming antique Sterling silver miniature mirror which would have originally be worn on an a superb silver Chatelaine, but now an be worn as an incredible antique pendant, not only beautiful but functional also!
Manufactured by the company Crisford & Norris in Birmingham in 1913 and fully hallmarked as such, this fine example bears the initials - ‘V M B’ - in the most beautiful, finely executed engraving we have seen, and below the date - 28. 11. ’15 (for 1915), when this stunning piece would have been gifted to the fortunate ‘V M B’.
Measuring a wonderful 6.5cm drop from the top bale, and the mirror section a quite large 3.5cm, the mirror does show some foxing but one can still very clearly use this mirror as its presents quite a clear image!
A stunning piece of functional jewellery which harkens us back to a more refined age, this piece is longing to be worn and treasured once again
