Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold Compass Pendant/Fob Circa 1910’s
Please note, boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.
This charming antique Edwardian compass pendant, crafted in 9-carat rose gold around 1910, beautifully captures the elegance and sentiment of its era.
Circular in form and framed by a graceful semi-circular curb link border, it features original glass panes on both sides that reveal a fully double-sided working compass (or at least one that appears to be working, however,no guarantee of accuracy!). The piece bears the maker’s mark “P P & T Ltd”, a British hallmark of the period, along with a clear 9ct gold stamp—confirming its origins in the UK.
Delicate yet full of character, this pendant would look exquisite suspended from a fine gold chain or attached to an antique watch chain. The warm blush of rose gold pairs perfectly with the soft gleam of the glass, creating a timeless piece that feels both personal and refined.
During the Edwardian era, compasses were more than just navigational tools—they symbolised guidance, protection, and the promise of safe journeys.
Often gifted to loved ones embarking on travel or new adventures, they represented steadfast direction and faith in finding one’s way. This pendant carries that same romantic symbolism, making it a meaningful keepsake as well as a beautiful adornment.
A rare and evocative piece of Edwardian craftsmanship, this rose gold compass pendant is a small treasure that speaks to the elegance, sentiment, and artistry of a bygone age.
