Charming 9ct Yellow Gold Carved Amber Cameo Pendant - London 2003
Please note, boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.
This charming 9ct yellow gold carved Amber cameo pendant is one of those rare pieces that stops conversations in their tracks—people can’t help but lean in for a closer look!
At its heart is a large, glowing Amber cabochon, reverse intaglio carved (that masterful technique where the design is delicately engraved from the back) into an exquisite profile of a young woman.
The detail is breathtaking: flowers tucked into her flowing hair, a ruffled bodice, a delicate pendant necklace draping her neck, and the finest facial features that capture an almost ethereal grace.
The warm, honeyed tones of the Amber radiate an organic, sun-kissed luminescence that’s impossible to fake. Amber has long been loved for its comforting warmth, like holding a piece of ancient sunshine against your skin, with a natural depth that shifts beautifully in different lights.
Set in classic 9ct yellow gold with its original inverted V bail, the piece bears full UK hallmarks for London manufacture and a crisp 2003 date letter.
Measuring a generous 4.2 cm drop from the bale and 2.7 cm wide, it’s substantial and statement-making without being overpowering, sitting perfectly against the décolletage.
Our photos (and even videos) don’t quite capture the true magic—the way the Amber warms to your body, the subtle play of light through the carving—but trust us, in person it’s enchanting!
Pair it with your favourite chain for everyday elegance or let it shine solo on something delicate. If you’re drawn to jewellery with artistry, history in every curve, and that irresistible warm glow—this conversation-starting treasure is one you’ll never want to take off.
RECONSTITUTED AMBER
Reconstituted Amber is a processed form of natural Amber created by heating and compressing small Amber fragments until they fuse in to a solid piece. This technique allows manufactures to make larger uniform blocks of Amber from otherwise unusable material. The process involves controlled heat and pressure to melt and bond the fragments, this results in aesthetically uniform material.
