Antique 9ct Rose Gold Wide Oval Hinged Bangle Circa 1910-15

A superb antique bangle dating to around the Edwardian era, perhaps a little later, and almost certainly Australian in manufacture.
Crafted from a delicious antique 9ct rose gold, (wax filled for durability and longevity typical of the era), a beautiful hue in our opinion, and designed as a wide oval hinged bangle with hidden push in box-clasp.
Measuring a very wide 1.6cm for its entire circumference, and an incredible 30 grams in weight, with the front panel beautiful engraved with an array of styles including a foliate type, greek key and further ornate styles. The central oval cartouche bears the monogram ‘H M S’ which is quite discreet and blends with the surrounding engraving.
The rear panel is un-engraved and plain, allowing this bangle to be worn with either panel sitting to the front of the wrist if desired.
In wonderful condition for its age with no serious dents/dings (condition report below), only minor marks here and there, this is a striking and impressive piece of antique jewellery which with care will last another lifetime!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. A substantial bangle, of excellent manufacture. No repairs. Very very minor marks to rear un-engraved section, noting for accuracy only, no dents as such. No issues to front engraved section, engraving is lovely and crisp. Original safety chain. Box clasp opens and closes very securely. No issues to note.
