Dating to the late Victorian era circa 1870-80’s these exquisite and romantic ‘Obelisk’ drop earrings are an art form lost to days gone by.

Crafted from tortoiseshell, inlaid by hand, with gold and silver, in the finest detail in a cross hatched pattern in gold, and to each hatch a tiny silver quatrefoil motif.
Manufactured in France evidenced by the tiny French stamp for silver to one shepherd hook.

Featuring a round top rondel exquisitely inlaid with a star to each, a whimsical attention to detail is that one rondel is set with a gold star, the other with silver!

Of the finest quality, the intricate work is exceptional, and in excellent condition with no losses nor damage.

Dropping a very eye catching 6.0cm from the ear and in such fine condition for their approximately 150 years of age, these splendid earrings are just pining to be seen, worn and admired once again.
