We have the utmost pleasure to offer this extremely beautifully and incredibly rare piece by Carl Moller (circa 1850-1899).

Featuring what can only be described as a unique Natural Pearl set in lush 9ct rose gold with carefully grooved shoulders only adding to the elegance of this ring.
The Pearl is held securely in place by 12 prominent claws, several of which form the beginning of the grooved shoulders.

Overall, the Pearl presents a fantastic creamy white with an iridescent lustre captured in the right light.

Truly a special collectors piece.

History of Carl Moller

Moller (Carl Ludwig Waldemur; 1831-1903) & Goldstein (Edward; 1829-1890) arrived in New Zealand together from Melbourne on the ship Genii in 1861.  Moller had originally emigrated to Victoria in 1854 and worked as a silversmith in a number of mining centres.

Their first shop was established in 1862, in Rattray Street, Dunedin’s principle commercial precinct at the beginning of the gold rush.  Moller came from a long line of goldsmiths; his grandfather was a goldsmith and his father was a master goldsmith.  The pair were listed in Directory as ‘Working Goldsmiths & Jewellers’ by 1865.
