The term ‘Mizpah’ is a Hebrew word found in the book of Genesis 31:49 which means ‘Watchtower’  and it interpreted as ‘May God watch over you’.

Popular during the Victorian era and given and worn as a token of love or friendship.
This finely made example is crafted from 18ct rose gold with a high carat yellow **blooming to the textured background which gives a subtle two toned effect which is quite unusual and very beautiful.

The raised Gothic style script is graduated atop the textured background to the then plain and wide rose gold shank.

Hallmarked clearly with makers mark ‘WM’, assay for Birmingham and date letter for 1900.
