Vintage Retro Era 18ct (And 9ct) Diamond And Pearl Cocktail Ring Circa 1940’s
We see many ‘conversion’ pieces of jewellery and, frankly, many are poorly executed …. Not so this example, the best, not only in execution but skill, we’ve had the pleasure of handling.
Noting it is a conversion for accuracy only, one would ever know without a trained eye, this ring appears to be an original creation!
We believe this beauty began its life as a dazzling Retro era Diamond and Pearl brooch, crafted in 18ct white gold, but has now been skillfully modernised in to an incredible, and wearable cocktail ring some time in its history.
Sitting on the finger in relatively low-rise fashion, slightly on the diagonal, with five creamy white Pearls as a centrepiece, to the dazzling open ribbon-like setting set with a combination of round brilliant cut diamonds, and to the tendrils single cut diamonds typical of the era.
A thick and wide 9ct white gold shank has been meticulously added with no visible signs of this work … a testament to the master jeweller who performed this immaculate conversion, which keeps this surprisingly comfortable ring stable and secure on the finger.

Excellent vintage condition. Pearls are lustrous, no nacre loss, well matched and beautiful. Diamonds are excellent, no chips, well set and bright white and lively, very good colour and clarity. No thinning to substantial thick solid shank. No issues to note, impeccable ring.
