Quite a beautiful example of early Victorian work, c1850’s, this lovely all original ring is centred with a foil-backed rose-cut diamond in a ‘belcher’ or ‘buttercup’ style typical of the era.

Crafted from 18ct yellow gold with deeply chased sculpted shoulders extending for 3/4 of the shank to a then smooth half round remainder.

A simple and elegant treasure from the past just waiting to be worn and loved again.

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. No thinning to shank. Pattern is crisp with no wear or softening. Diamond is foil-backed typical of the Georgian and early Victorian era, the foil showing some signs of deterioration viewed under x 10 loupe magnification. Diamond itself shows no chips or abrasions, and is quite a high domed rose-cut.
