Vintage Australian 18ct Yellow Gold Patterned ‘Cherry Blossom’ Band By ‘RODD’ Circa 1950-60’s
Pairs beautifully with our vintage Australian 10ct Yellow Gold ‘Lustre’ Heart And Cherry Blossoms Eternity/Wedding Band available to purchase HERE.
Dating to around the very late 1940’s to early 1950’s by RODD who was the leading jewellery manufacturer in Australia. He used the trade mark ‘APEX’ for their jewellery from 1920 until 1948 when at this time the company became a limited company.
Therefore relatively easy to date this vintage Australian ring placing her at approximately 60 plus years of age she is in almost pristine new condition!
Crafted from 18ct yellow gold and designed as a ‘cherry blossom’ ring with alternating cherry blossom and scrolled pattern sections and also very pretty profile engraving to both profiles!
Much more substantial and heavy than the more commonly seen examples this one weighs a very pleasing and solid 5.69 grams!
The pattern encircles the full circumference.. and to the gallery edges also so this ring looks beautiful from all angles.
As crisp as the day she was made with absolutely no signs of wear, we can only assume this early Australian ring has been tucked away unworn her entire life.
