Vintage 18ct Yellow Gold And Carved Aventurine Bead Necklace
A strikingly beautiful vintage necklace dating to around the 1980’s or thereabouts, in the style of Cartiers infamous carved Emerald bead necklaces, or even perhaps the equally stunning examples by iconic jewellery firm Seaman Schepps.
However.. this one may look the part but comes without the massive price tags!
Each hand carved, beautiful melon shaped bead, is in fact Aventurine. A common and desirable alternative to the much more expensive Emerald, Aventurine features a similar colour and inclusions, and, in our opinion a wonderful alternative!
Featuring thirty carved beads, threaded on gold toned wire (not tested), in thread and twist style which is a very secure alternative to silk.
The substantial parrot clasp is 18ct yellow gold, large, heavy and hallmarked for manufacture in Arezzo Italy, stamped and tested as solid 18ct gold, and with an 18ct gold tag with the makers name ‘Ularmo’.
Measuring 50cm in length this necklace looks simply striking on, and receives compliments whenever it is seen
