A superb antique Edwardian bangle, almost definitely Australian given the design and acquisition, dating to the early 20th century circa 1910.
Crafted from lush rosy hued 15ct rose gold and designed as an oval hinged bangle set with seven (7) stunning old brilliant-cut diamonds, perhaps the loveliest and well matched series of diamonds we’ve seen.
The diamonds are graduated in size with a total (estimated in settings) of a lovely 0.86ct in total, stunningly bright - F-G colour, beautifully cut and of excellent clarity, each set in their own individual square settings.
The gallery the diamonds are set in is as equally exquisitely crafted as the remainder of the bangle and befitting the quality of the diamonds, ornate pierced work to either side which allows this beauty to look beautiful from any angle.
Three rail open oval frames, strong and without a blemish, keep this comfortable oval antique bangle comfortable on the wrist.
This bangle is in superb excellent condition, demonstrating both its durability, fine craftsmanship, and the care it has received over the years. Superb antique condition. Diamonds are of excellent quality, old Mine cuts, very well matched, no chips or abrasions and are all very secure in their settings, bright white and beautiful. No dents, dings or bends to oval bangle frame, excellent condition. Push in box clasp works perfectly, original safety chain also. One of the best we’ve seen, no issues to note.
