Quite the unusual piece of early Australian history by Melbourne firm J.R Rowland who was in operation between 1883-1930 (see history below).

Crafted from 9ct rosy hued gold and centred with a large cabochon stone we (and our gemologist) are inclined to believe is Rhyolite.
Dark hued body tone with green undertones and speckled with robins egg blue patches across the stone similar to a speckled egg!

A large stone measuring 2.1cm x 1.5cm, cut en cabochon, and beautifully held in place by six double claws.
A comfortable half round shank holds this low rise unusual ring to the finger.

Handcrafted by one of our lesser know Australian jewellers who ceased trading in 1930, this is a piece for the serious Australian jewellery collector.
