DESCRIPTION
The teeniest tiniest daintiest wee earrings we have ever seen and we just couldn’t resist sharing these darling earrings!
Crafted in 8ct gold - the legal minimum standard of gold in Germany - in ‘Dormeuse’ style.
Dormeuse, or ‘sleeper’ in French, is a style or earrings that were fashioned with a back-to-front ear wire. Petite in size so that they could be worn during sleep, these style of earrings were popular in the mid 19th to early 20th century.
With the traditional wear wires fastening back to front (lever backs) and a tiny heart bevelled edge heart containing a tiny ‘coral’ (maybe imitation) heart to the centre.
Measuring a tiny 14mmm drop from the ear, and 6.3mm at the widest point of the heart motif, these earring are for those with very small lobes, or for a child.
