Sumptuous vintage double headed, three coiled Serpent ring, of wide proportions, assayed in Birmingham 1958.

Popularised during Queen Victoria’s reign when Prince Albert gifted Victoria an emerald, ruby and diamond encrusted serpent ring upon their betrothal.
Symbolic of everlasting commitment and love, the enduring nature of Serpent rings persist till today.

Crafted from 9ct yellow gold, that lovely in-between hue not quite yellow and not quite rose, featuring two intertwined serpent heads resplendent with finely engraved scales and two eyes to each head.  A wide three ‘coiled’ or grooved shank secures this wide - 1.3cm - beauty on the finger.

At 66 years old this sure vintage (almost antique!) unisex piece feels wonderful and silky smooth on the finger.

CONDITION
Very very good vintage condition. Solid and heavy ring.  Some softening to to ‘coils’ of snake, however no thinning to ring itself.  Hallmarks crips and clear.  A previous, very good resize seen only under loupe, which, if resized down again would re-connect snake coils at very rear of shank, looks lovely as is though.
