Retro Style Fabulous Smoky Quartz Necklace Circa 1950’s Independent Valuation Included For $2000 AUD
Absolutely fabulous piece of jewellery - not quite costume, not quite ‘fine’ jewellery, that sweet spot just in between - and dating to around the 1950’s or thereabouts.
Crafted from low grade silver (XFR tested) and gold washed/plated over and set with an array of genuine Smoky quartz throughout.
The drop is centred with a large square emerald cut Smoky Quartz of approximately 12.5cts and surrounded by 18 approx 0.20ct marquise cut Smoky quartz.
The collier is also set with a mix of emerald, marquis and round Smoky and all of this is secured with a bolt ring clasp stamped 925.
This piece is bedazzling on… all the Smoky’s are in excellent condition, no chips or abrasions, and we challenge anyone to find another piece quite as fabulous as this!

CONDITION
Very very good vintage condition. No chips or abrasions to Smoky quartz. Interestingly the last 5 round stones and setting nearest the clasp appear to be an extension that has been crafted perhaps at a later date, stones are clear(er) with a coating to back to make them appear more like Smoky quartz - they do test as quartz however! This has been very well done and frankly is hardly noticeable. Clasp is secure are working perfectly. Incredible statement necklace.
