Antique Colonial Australian 20ct Gold Sim Wedding Style Band Circa 1860-80

A little mystery ring with no marks however with some provenance indicating this early ring is almost definitely Australian and quite early, circa 1860-80 and perhaps even earlier.

Hand crafted from 20ct yellow gold which was used in the early ‘High Colonial’ jewellery era and designed as a slim flat band and is just utterly charming and feels quite lovely on the finger.

Dainty at about 1 gram in weight, but strong and with no thinning or warping.

As with many if not most early Australian Colonial pieces, this piece bears no hallmarks. an XRF test confirms 20ct gold.
