Vintage Retro 10ct Yellow Gold Monogram ‘H’ Ring By Kinsley-Kovsky Jewellery Co. Mfg. Circa 1940’s
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
A superb ring manufactured in the USA by Kinsley-Kovsky Jewellery Manufacturing Co. established in 1924 in St. Louis Missouri.
A family owned business who remained in business for approximately 100 years, who used the trademark stamp ‘Gothic’ and a symbol of a ‘K’ superimposed over a diamond shaped cartouche on their wide range of jewellery. This impressive and rare ring is clearly marked with their trademark stamps and also a Patent number.
Crafted in the standard US cartage of 10k (10ct) gold, and designed as a very substantial Monogram ring with the initial ‘H’, in gold, surrounded by a further detailed ornate gold surround, both of which are applied to a large carved plaque of impeccable Onyx. Accenting this already wonderful top plaque is a perfectly positioned small bright white single cut diamond set in a triangular white gold setting.
The shoulders are exquisite… to one shoulder a cross hatched design, and to the other a wonderful stylised Dragons head, in profile, to a thick wide heavy shank.
An impressively solid ring weighing over 10 grams, low rise to the finger at a surprisingly low and easy to wear 6mm, this exotic ring is in incredible condition and perhaps perfect not only for those that the letter ‘H’ has special meaning but for those born in the year of the Dragon? ( 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024 ).
Presenting rarely to the market, let alone in this condition, by this maker, (the first we’ve seen in over 30 years in the business), this exceptional ring is an asset for the serious collector.
