Vintage 9ct Rose Gold Smoky Quartz Seed Pearl ‘Crowned Heart’ Brooch - Birmingham 1970
The creation of the heart shape to signify love was first seen around the end of the Middle Ages. Gaining popularity in the 15th and 16th centuries and became widely used in jewellery design throughout subsequent centuries.
The brooch itself is meticulously crafted, featuring five delicate pale pink half seed pearls set to the ‘crown’, adding a touch of elegance and grace to the overall design.
Full hallmarked with UK hallmarks for assay in Birmingham and date letter stamped for manufacture in 1970, this wonderful and large vintage piece of jewellery deserves to become a treasured family heirloom.

Very good to excellent vintage condition. No chips or abrasion to Smoky quartz, excellent condition, and claws are substantial and strong. Half seed Pearls are all original, no re-glues. No repairs. Rollover C clasp and pin all original and very secure. No issues.
