The largest of these vintage charms made, we believe, this 4cm x 1.3cm wide charm/pendant was all the rage during the late 1960’s and into the ’70’s and retain their popularity today.

Crafted from 9ct rose gold and fully hallmarked for manufacture in London and date stamped for 1967, this whimsical charm features a  £1 Note in a cylindrical ‘glass’ case and topped and bottomed with 9ct gold.

Marketed as ‘mad money’ and sometimes also inscribed with ‘break in an emergency’ (see our other listing) these fun charms were traditionally worn on charm bracelets but can of course be worn as pendants on you favourite chains also.  This one had a large top ring which allows this versatile to be worn as either!
