A superb vintage 9 carat yellow gold cherub pendant, fully hallmarked for manufacture and assay in London in 1973.

This exquisite piece features a standing Cherub presenting a bow/basket, atop which rests a highly symbolic Pinecone—representing enlightenment, rebirth, resurrection, and the cyclical nature of life. Pinecones have been used throughout human history and appear in art spanning at least 5,000 years.

The Cherub is beautifully detailed, from his mop of curly locks, to his adorable face and tiny toes, the rich golden hue of this piece truly showcases the exceptional craftsmanship during this era.

Weighing a very substantial 13.9 grams - this piece is solid 9ct gold, not hollow, and measuring a 4cm drop (including the bale), this heavy, well-preserved pendant exudes luxury and depth.

Its symbolic design makes it a meaningful heirloom, perfect for collectors or those seeking a unique statement piece with historical significance.
In excellent vintage condition, this London-made treasure is a rare blend of artistry and symbolism.
