This splendid antique Victorian tri-colour cuff bangle, crafted in Birmingham in 1884, is a remarkable piece of jewellery history.

Crafted from sterling silver and accented with 9ct yellow and rose gold, it showcases exquisite craftsmanship. Fully hallmarked with UK hallmarks, including ‘T.W’ (maker’s mark), ‘k’ date letter for 1884, ‘Anchor’ for Birmingham assay, and ‘Lion Passant’ for sterling silver, the bangle, weighing 45.17 grams, measures 3.12cm in width with internal oval dimensions of 5.8cm x 5.0cm, fitting comfortably on a 17cm wrist.

Presenting in excellent antique condition, the bangle has been meticulously preserved, likely stored in its original box, which is a treasure in itself, retailing on the antique market for $300-$400 AUD. The bangle features only minor marks on the plain silver side, with no dents, dings, or repairs. The box clasp is firm and secure, and all decorative ‘ball’ details remain intact. The hallmarks are crisp and clear.

The original box, crafted by Albert Reiss of Tottenham Court Road, W.C., is in stunning condition. Its hinge and front clasp are fully functional, with no losses to the leather exterior and only insignificant minor marks. The interior boasts vibrant blue stain with gold lettering and near-pristine blue velvet padding, adding to its allure and collectibility.

This beautiful antique bangle is a perfect example of Victorian elegance (1814-1901), presented in a beautifully preserved original box, making it a collector’s dream.
