Modern Tahitian Baroque Pearl Graduated Necklace With 14ct White gold Clasp
‘The term ‘baroque’ originates from the Portuguese word barocco’ for ‘imperfect’. The term was first applied, and found in a French dictionary dating to the end of the 17th century describing a gem that is imperfect in shape’.
This lovely strand consists of 37 well matched ‘circle baroque’ Pearls which are a dark charcoal grey overall with light shades and hints of colour here and there. Graduated in style the largest Pearls measure approximately 11.3 x 10.0mm to the centre of the strand and approx 9.5 x 8.9mm to the smallest at each end.
Fastening very securely with a ribbed 14ct white gold round push in clasp.
