Art Nouveau 14ct Rose Gold Verneuil Sapphire And Ruby Ring
Crafted from 14ct rose (and silver ribbon elements to the central portion) and featuring a claw set with an early verneuil synthetic Sapphire to one end and a sweet round Ruby cabochon to the other.
The unusual element is that these two gem set ends are tilted slightly up and away from the finger which allows one, two or three slim wedding style bands to fit perfectly underneath one or both ends! While this feature is desirable it certainly isn’t necessary as she’s quite perfect worn alone also.

VERNEUIL METHOD
The Verneuil method, also called flame fusion, was the first commercially successful method of manufacturing synthetic gemstones, developed in the late 1880s by the French chemist Auguste Verneuil. It is primarily used to produce the Ruby, Sapphire and padparadscha, and varieties of corundum, as well as the diamond simulates rutile, spinel and strontium titanate.
