History of Rodd

The inside of the gold band is stamped with ‘Apex 18ct’.  Apex was the name used by G.E. Rodd.

George Rodd established his workshop in 1919 and began making trophies and medallions soon expanding into cutlery and jewellery.

By the 1930's Rodd was the leading manufacturer of jewellery in Australia. He used the trade name Apex until the firm became a limited company in 1948 when the name changed to Rodd.

This piece would date to the 1930’s.
