Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Collar And Locket Circa 1890
The first of many things to note about this stunning Victorian piece of jewellery is the weight. Together the locket and collar weigh a staggering 96 grams. One of the most impressively crafted and substantial pieces of its kind we’ve had the pleasure of offering.
The collar features highly decorated scrolling pattern to each panel. Each panel interlocks to an oval section with ball detail - larger ball to top and smaller to bottom.
The verso of each panel is plain allowing this collar to be worn reversibly if desired.
A large 1.6cm bolt ring secures the collar and can be worn to the front, back or side when wearing alone without the locket.
The locket may or may not be original, if she’s not then she matches perfectly!
Stunningly ornate to the front panel, the detail is exquisite. The verso is plain.
Opening to reveal two compartments retaining both silver rims to contain a photo or two. The panes have been replaced sometime in her history with a firm clear plastic material which is quite solid and fits perfectly.
Exquisite, beautifully crafted, this decorative collar and associated locket are a future heirloom in the making.

Very very good antique condition. No dents to collar panels or ball details. Bolt ring works perfectly. No dents to locket, opens an closes very securely. Minor marks to silver only. Stunning piece of jewellery.
