Strikingly beautiful earrings dating to the late Victorian era circa 1870-80, crafted in the Etruscan revival style and manufactured from 14ct yellow gold.

Converted some time in history with the addition of post fittings and butterfly backs, allowing these earrings to sit high to the lobe.

Measuring a sizeable 2.4cm x 2.1cm these intricately worked earrings display all the embellishments typical of the Etruscan style with ornate rope work, stunningly crafted applied floral and vine motifs and tiny bead details.

To the centre we find a bright white small single-cut diamond in a circular raised open-worked central panel surrounded by eight original small half see Pearls.
Dropping from the bottom of the earrings is a tiny articulated Pearl which dances beautifully with movement.

Large and quite beautiful on the ear, these earrings attract the gaze and receive compliments whenever they are worn.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition.  Earrings have been converted to post fittings at some stage, very well done.  Pearls are original with no re-glues. Some variation in colour to Pearls seen under loupe only.  Diamonds are original, bright white and lively.  No dents, minor marks to backs only.  Tiny pearl drops at bottom of earrings are every so slightly different, quite unimportant.  Butterfly backs are matching, and secure, a later addition.
