A wonderful combination scent and vinaigrette cylindrical crustal bottle dating to the mid-Victorian era and stamped for manufacture in London (beneath scent bottle lid).
Possibly by well known manufacturer Sampson Mordan, however to view the entire London mark we’d have to remove the clear cover over the mark.

Designed in bevelled edged crystal, this heavy piece weighs just over 100 grams.

To one end we find a hinged glass compartment opening to reveal an ornate pieced grill which also opens for the placement of a sponge soaked in scent. To the top a push-release spring loaded button opens the interior beneath to which fine smelling salts would have been placed.

A fine example, in incredible condition, this piece has the original Victorian ladies initials beautifully worked to the top lid of ‘MSP’.
