Dating to the late Victorian era to just on the turn of the century this romantic, dramatic, and OH so very lush antique Bohemian Garnet necklace is simply superb.

A graduated line of beautiful florets, 32 in total, each encrusted with rose-cut cherry wine hued Garnets, including the box clasp, and centred with a slightly larger floret which, to the rear, has a hidden S loop to support the (or any) large and removable striking centrepiece.

The shield-shaped centrepiece measures a bedazzling 5cm x 3.2cm and is multi-tiered and again set with more rose-cut Garnets than we could possibly count!
An ornate fluted top, cascading to a border of tiny rose-cuts, to a border of large and lush Garnets to the centre daisy floret which is also set with an abundance of tiny mesmerising rose-cuts!

Removable and able to be worn as a brooch with her original C clasp and pin to the rear, this versatile piece of jewellery is quite remarkable.  Wear the multi floret necklace alone or.. perhaps suspend the shield pendant from a velvet black ribbon and wear together for a high Victorian fashion statement!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition.  All Garnets original, no re-glues or replacements.  Pin and C claps original, slight reinforcement beneath C clasp, insignificant and secure.  Clasp works perfectly, nice and secure.  No chips to Garnets except for one tiny nick to one garnet in shield, very hard to see and does not distract from the beauty of this piece.

We believe there may have been a glass framed locket to the verso of this piece, there is some evidence of that however if this was the case it has been removed expertly in antiquity.
