Antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Florette Necklace Circa 1890’s
Dating to the late Victorian era circa 1890’s this utterly charming Bohemian Garnet necklace is a dream piece for both the Garnet connoisseur or those who are simply looking for an elegant piece of jewellery in a style that is as popular today as it was over 100 years ago.
Classic in design this beauty features thirty round florettes each set with seven rose-cut Bohemian Garnets (pyrope) with the push in box clasp also a Garnet set Florette.
Crafted form Silver which has been backed in traditional Tombac to the verso which is a pale pretty rosy gold in hue and also in lovely condition.
Measuring a pleasing length of 40cm, designed to sit close to the collar bones, this one sits flat as intended and gives a full neck circumference of stunning elegance from any angle!
In glorious condition, every Garnet is original, rich and vibrant, and sparkle with a lovely depth of colour.
Whether worn for a special occasion or even every day wear, the timeless appeal, elegance and craftsmanship make this piece a timeless treasure.
***Tombac - or ‘Garnet gold’ which is a which is an alloy of cooper and zinc used to imitate gold and very commonly used in Bohemian Garnet jewellery during this era.

Very good to excellent antique condition. All Garnets are original, no chips, no damage, no re-glues. Clasp works perfectly. Tombac to verso of each rosette is in lovely condition, a soft and pale hue, no losses and evenly marched. Safety chain and small bolt ring may or may not be original, impossible to tell, well matched and functions perfectly. No repairs or damage.
