Superb and rare Victorian ‘buckle’ ring with a hidden surprise!
Crafted from rich 18ct rose gold with yellow gold hues, and designed as a hinged buckle ring opening to reveal the name ‘FRED’ inside.

Set with an old mine cut diamond to the face of the buckle, bed claw set, to a gypsy star motif.

Wide at a lovely 8.4mm, low rise and silky smooth o the finger, this beauty is a pleasure to wear.

Fully hallmarked for manufacture in Chester in 1892.  Sadly the makers marks are indistinct, however the other hallmarks are crisp and clear.

Does the name ‘FRED’ have meaning to you? A loved one or perhaps a special fur baby?  This rare ring could suit many tastes!
