Antique Georgian 15ct Rose Gold Agate ‘Bow And Initial ‘E’ Fob Seal Circa 1820
Crafted over 200 years ago during the Georgian era - circa 1820 - we are thrilled to offer this extraordinary intaglio fob seal.
In incredible condition for its age, this amazing piece of early jewellery is crafted from 15ct rose gold and set with a large oval chalcedony agate which has been hand carved with impeccable craftsmanship with the initial ‘E’, to a back drop of the finest textured carving, surrounded by minute round motifs, and, above the ‘E’ is a superb bow ribbon garland.
Measuring an impressive tall 3.5cm with the original faceted fancy top bale, and the base an equally impressive 2.5cm x 2.0cm.
Presenting seldomly to the market in such fine condition ( we are thrilled to have another almost identical this week ) this piece would be the ‘dream’ find for those with the initial ‘E’ holding importance to them, or any serious Georgian jewellery collector.
