Coveted and very hard to source (especially of this quality) this superb 18ct gold, George V antique ring, is the largest, most substantial and heaviest - 12 grams - example we’ve had the pleasure of offering.
Designed as a ‘love knot’ ring which became popular during the mid 1800’s, a style which endured in to the Edwardian era, symbolic of undying, intertwinned love and devotion - ‘We are bound together’.
This impeccable example has the added symbolism of not only the interlocking knots but the three beautiful antique cut diamonds set in individual diamond shaped settings representing ‘You are the diamond and star in my life’.
Weighing an incredible 12 grams, solid as they come, and a finger coverage of an impressive 1cm in width and a spread across the finger of 2.4cm…. Unequalled in size, craftsmanship and beauty in our 30 plus years in the business.
Each diamond is eight bead claw set, and each is bright, white and very lively, shining perfectly against the backdrop of the bloomed matte finish of their settings, to a very thick wide and substantial band which is more a rose hued 18ct gold.
