Antique Art Deco 18ct White Gold And Diamond ‘Cherry Blossom’ Half Hoop Ring Circa 1920-30’s
This fine example of Deco craftsmanship is designed as a half-hoop diamond wedding or eternity style band, with the top half set with ten crisp white early brilliant cuts and old European cut diamonds in graduated fashion, each bead claw set within individual square settings with millgraine edging.
To the lower half of the ring we find eight lovely Cherry Blossom motifs representing new beginnings, purity, and the beauty of life. A popular choice for weddings throughout modern history as they are associated with love, hope, and happiness.
Further symbolism is continued to both gallery edges with a continuous ‘wheat sheaf’ engraving, as crisp and clear as when it was made, and this traditional symbolic touch represents abundance and fertility of a couples new chapter in life.

Very good to excellent antique condition. Diamonds are secure in their original bad claw corner settings. No chips or damage to diamonds, lovely clarity and colour, bright white and very lively. Cherry blossom pattern to verso of ring is very good crisp condition, as is patterning to each gallery profile. No issues to note, a gorgeous ring.
