Absolutely stunning and highly collectible antique perfume bottle dating to the 19th century and crafted in the Netherlands circa 1870’s.

Hallmarked with the Dutch control mark for gold - "klavertje"  - an ‘Oak leaf’  - that was in use between 1853 and 1906, and a tiny date letter we believe is either for 1870 or 1876.

Designed as a ‘lay down’ scent bottle crafted from cut crystal and rimmed and capped in exquisite 14ct yellow gold which is engraved with four floral garlands twinning their way the length of the cap, and further floral accents to the entire rim circumference.

The heavy crystal body of the bottle has a beautiful floral etched centrepiece, tiered bevelled edges and a plain un-etched verso.

Inside we find the original tiny stopper, and on opening there is the scent of perfume from years gone by!

Large at 9cm length/high and nicely proportioned at 4.4cm wide, this desirable 18th century perfume bottle has won us over and we hope she will you too!
