A Fine Antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Bangle Circa 1890 - 1900
It never ceases to amaze us how some antique jewellery survives in such pristine condition … we all prefer a faultless piece of jewellery, and we are pleased to offer this antique Victorian Bohemian garnet bangle as such!
This exquisite late Victorian Bohemian garnet bangle dates to around the late 1890’s to 1900, and is designed as an oval hinged bangle with a large central flower type motif set with eight beautiful oval rose-cut faceted Garnets measuring approximately 8.3mm x 5.4mm or 1.40ct each!
To the centre of the oval Garnets is a round rose-cut weighing approximately 1.60ct, and to the entire oval bangle, both to the fancy wrap around shoulders, to front and back we find a further fifty eight rose-cut Bohemian Garnets.
Crafted in traditional ‘garnet gold’ or more precisely Tombac - which is a which is an alloy of cooper and zinc used to imitate gold and very commonly used in Bohemian Garnet jewellery during this era.
One of the finest we have seen and had to offer, this beauty is an asset to the antique jewellery lover!

Tombac is the colour of rich 9ct rosy gold, mo losses, minor marks which are insignificant, noting for accuracy only. Push in clasp works perfectly. Original safety chain. Superb condition with no issues.
