Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Solid Opal ‘Half Hoop’ Ring - London 1972
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
This vintage 9ct yellow gold opal ring, fully hallmarked for London 1972, carries over 50 years of quiet charm and sparkle.
A classic five-stone half-hoop design, it features five solid crystal opals with a beautiful, lively play of colour—soft flashes of rainbow that catch the light beautifully.
The opals are subtly graduated in size (centre one ever so slightly larger), yet they appear beautifully balanced across the finger in a straight, elegant profile that spans an impressive 2.1 cm, and 6.5mm wide.
The under-gallery is delicately carved and scrolled, adding that special detail you notice whenever you turn your hand.
It sits so very comfortably on the finger (we can confirm!) and looks stunning stacked with a wedding band, diamond eternity ring, or any straight-profile piece— it feels as lovely on as it does to look at.
A charming ring over half a century old and ready to wear, this beauty brings the charm of yesteryear and a subtle sparkle to your day!

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition. Of note there is a tiny shallow ‘sliver’ of Opal missing (could simply be a defect?) to one end Opal on the outer lower perimeter, noting this for accuracy only, to the eye this imperceptible! - no integrity loss to Opal. All Opals are original, well set and secure with minimal dulling to surface, still bright and a lovely play of colour.
No thinning to shank, hallmarks crisp and clear. No other issues to note.
