Contemporary 16ct Yellow Gold 11.49ct Imperial Topaz and Diamond Ring With an Independent Gemmological Valuation for $13,650 AUD
Bold, sophisticated and undeniably eye-catching, this remarkable ring is a celebration of fine craftsmanship and an increasingly scarce natural gemstone, destined to become a treasured heirloom for generations to come.
At its heart sits an extraordinary 11.49 carat cushion mixed-cut Imperial topaz, measuring an impressive 13.5 x 14.2mm. Displaying a rich, deep orange hue with outstanding eye-clean clarity, the gemstone radiates remarkable warmth and brilliance. Renowned for its rarity, genuine Imperial topaz is highly prized for its vivid golden-orange colouring, making this an exceptional collector’s piece.
The spectacular centre stone is securely presented in an elegant four-claw double gallery setting and beautifully accented by twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds in shared claw settings. With a combined estimated diamond weight of 0.18 carats, the diamonds provide a gorgeous, bright and white sparkle (colour H) that perfectly complements the rich warmth of the Imperial topaz.
The open, architectural undergallery, features an elegant open basket undergallery showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and sculptural tapered gold support bars that rise gracefully from the shoulders to cradle the gemstone. The open gallery allows light to pass freely beneath the Topaz, enhancing its natural brilliance while showcasing the substantial depth of the gemstone. Completing the design is a beautifully crafted open basket setting, combining strength with an elegant, refined profile.
Crafted in 16 carat yellow gold (XRF tested as 16.35ct), the ring weighs a substantial 7.50 grams, giving it a luxurious presence while remaining beautifully balanced on the hand. The softly rounded band tapers gracefully from 4.0mm at the shoulders to 2.9mm at the base, offering both comfort and timeless elegance.
