What do you see? We see a locket wearing a gem studded necklace!

This exquisite antique Victorian locket is crafted from 18ct gold and gilded in 20ct gold over as per the technique commonly used in the Victorian era to give a high(er) very bright yellow appearance and it is stunning to say the least.

Finely chased to front and back with fine scrolling details which, with the high carat gold and fine texturing, allows this one to almost glow and shimmer in the light.

Set to the front panel of the locket is an array of gemstones in the appearance of a pendant necklace…  tiny rose cut diamonds, three kite-cut green Tourmalines and the ‘pendant’ drop a pear cut solid Opal.

Opening to reveal just as higher yellow gold inside and one side containing the original rim and glass just waiting for a photo or treasured momento of your choice.

This is probably one of the most beautiful lockets we’ve had the pleasure of offering and she is going to break our hearts to let her go but we know she will become someones treasured future heirloom.

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition.  This piece of jewellery is exquisite.  No loss to high carat gilding, very bright and rich.  Stones all original and in good condition, one very tiny flea bite to one of the smallest Tourmalines not visible to naked eye, under x10 loupe only.

Jump ring appears original and tests as 15ct gold (for durability and strength).  Opens and closes very tightly.  One tiny little ‘ball’ appliqué around Opal is gone but very hard to see this and doesn’t effect appearance of this yes beauty.
