Fully hallmarked (to the locket) for manufacture by renowned silversmiths Constantine & Floyd, assay in Birmingham and date letter stamped for 1882.
The large oval locket, measuring 6 cm x 3.5 cm -including the bale - is an impressive example of Victorian design. It opens to reveal two interior compartments, one still retaining its original glass pane and rim—perfect for preserving cherished keepsakes or portraits. The front is beautifully decorated with intricate floral and leaf motifs, highlighted with delicate rose and yellow gold accents that bring warmth and contrast to the sterling silver.

The chain retains its original Sterling silver bolt rings, allowing for adjustment of length and wear - 42cm to 45cm. Together, the chain and locket weigh an impressive 75.8 grams, giving the piece a luxurious and substantial feel.
This superb antique locket and chain is more than just a piece of jewellery—it is a wearable piece of history, embodying the elegance and artistry of the Victorian era. Whether worn as a statement necklace or treasured as a collector’s piece, it is sure to captivate and endure for generations.
