Vintage 9ct White Gold Solid Dark Opal Ring

This extraordinarily beautiful ring was handcrafted from 9ct white gold in Australia and is set with three beautifully matched solid dark Opals.
The central Opal is large, Marquise-cut cabochon and with a nice high dome, with typical dark body tone seen in dark (or semi-black) Opals.
Flanking this Marquise-cut Opal are two oval-cut Opal cabochons which sit slightly lower than the principal Opals, and all three are sturdily four claw set.
Wide upswept shoulders flow without tapering to the wide shank. This ring is very substantial in manufacture and weighs a lovely 7.14 grams.
Each Opal displays a very good play of colour which covers the entire surface of each gemstone, and each is in excellent condition with no dulling, and certainly no chips or abrasions!
Impressive on the finger with a spread of 2cm and width of 1.5cm, and cleverly crafted to allow a wedding style band or diamond eternity perhaps to fit either side with ease.

CONDITION
Excellent preowned condition. A ring that has spent very little time on the finger. No marks, no chips, no dulling or abrasions to any Opal. Claws are original and very solid. Shank is very substantial, thick and solid with no signs of thinning or wear. A very beautiful ring.
