This stunning contemporary solid Platinum Emerald and diamond ‘ballerina’ ring is modern in manufacture - this style is having a huge resurgence! - but is inspired by the iconic 1950s design, perfected by Oscar Heyman, which gained popularity in the 1950’s post war era when glamour and beauty was once again desired. An interest in the arts, including ballet resulted in the inspiration for ‘ballerina’ rings which channel their design from a ’tutu’!
This exceptional example is crafted from solid Platinum and showcases a stunning central pear-cut Emerald weighing 0.72ct, surrounded by a graceful halo of 0.74ct of round brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds which fan out to an outer swirling frame resembling a flowing tutu!.
Simple and refined low set shoulders flow seamlessly to a solid Platinum shank - our favourite noble metal - which will with care last a lifetime, and relatively low rise to the finger for comfort and ease of wear.
