A sweet and dainty piece to add to your favourite #neckmess of the day, this antique fob charm adds a layer of antique charm to any ensemble.

Dating to the Edwardian era circa 1905, crafted from Sterling silver and featuring a deep green Nephrite Jade - also known as Greenstone or *Pounamu.

Measuring a lovely long drop of 4.8cm including the top ring, and at its widest measuring 1.0cm, its proportions are impressive without being overwhelming especially when layering your necklaces!

A charming addition to any jewellery wardrobe, especially for those who value the historical importance of Māori culture.

HISTORY OF POUNAMU

Pounamu or greenstone are terms for several types of hard and durable stone found in southern New Zealand. They are highly valued in New Zealand, and carvings made from pounamu play an important role in Māori culture. Geologically, pounamu are usually nephrite jade, bowenite, or serpentinite.

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition.  No chips to or abrasions to Nephrite Jade.  Sterling silver capping shows no repairs, minor marks to silver only.  Top ring is probably original, minor marks only, strong and no thinning.
