Striking Art Nouveau pendant necklace hallmarked for manufacture in Birmingham in 1909 by (probably) Henry Mathews of Vittoria Street Birmingham.

Crafted in 9ct rose gold for the main pendant body and 15ct rose gold for the chain and stamped/hallmarked as such to both.

The central section is centred with an oval natural Persian Turquoise cabochon to an open work stylised Art Nouveau frame also set with half seed Pearls.

An articulated Turquoise and Pearl set section to either side allows this central frame to sit beautifully.

Suspended below is a large freshwater baroque Pearl (a later addition we believe).

As mentioned the chain in crafted in lovely 15ct gold and end to end (including pendant) measures a lovely 55cm allowing this beauty to sit exquisitely on the décolletage.

CONDITION
Good antique condition.  To the rear top of the turquoise setting is a small hole ( see photos ), cannot be seen from the front and does not affect the integrity of the setting.  Pearl drop probably not original but looks lovely.  No chips/ damage to Turquoise.  One tiny Pearl seems to have been replaced, not noticeably unless using a loupe.  Chain is lovely, barrel clasp works very securely.

Please note boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated
