


Antique Art Deco Sterling Silver ‘Half Doll’ Pin Cushion By Saunders & Shepard 1921
A charming and quite rare to find antique pin cushion in the form of period ‘half doll’ lady with quite beautiful features and detailing.
Crafted from Sterling silver and fully hallmarked for assay in Birmingham and manufacture by Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepard, and date letter stamped for 1921.
Fully detailed to both front and verso, her serene and delicate face is quite lovely, exquisitely formed waves and chignon frame the face beautifully, a bowed bodice, and her hands crossed at the waist hold a charming fan.
The ruffled tiered skirt in blue fabric is in lovely condition with only very slight fading due to age.
This lovely piece by an excellent maker will be an asset to any serious swearing enthusiasts collection.
