One of the prettiest examples of its kind, early Australian Edwardian era 'puffy' hearts we have seen. Made by Willis and Sons of Melbourne, (c1858-c1980), this would date to around 1905 and bears their hallmark of the 'Unicorn' to the back of the heart.
Embellished with alternating garnets and natural seed pearls diagonal fashion with ornate and perfect scrolls as accents. Bloomed gold finish to the front just adds a little something extra!
The heart motif is an enduring symbol of love and devotion that has spanned centuries and this piece would make treasured heirloom piece we are sure!
