Sometimes even we are surprised when pieces as rare as this come into our hands !
These incredible screw-back earrings are not only rare but an example of our finest early Australian hand made jewellery.. and if that wasn’t enough, to be signed by J. Lawrence is just the icing on the cake.
Hand constructed from 9ct rose gold, and featuring the most exquisite and tiny pearls threaded on to quite obviously firm and durable wire to form a sphere, which is suspended by a fine gold trace chain to a round 9ct ball.
The circles of pearls can actually be ‘bent’ into any shape you desire.. your could from an oval, or carefully even a nanette diamond shape. We prefer the circle !
As delicate as they may look, they are remarkably strong, of course they have survived already around 120 years.
If you are a collector of early Australian jewellery, to have these in your collection is a must!
